DFDS Seaways sail from the DFDS Scandic Terminal in Esbjerg and Harwich International Port (formerly known as Parkeston Quay), which is located in the north eastern corner of Essex.

Frequently asked questions
1. When will I receive my tickets?
DFDS Seaways does not issue tickets. You will receive an email confirmation of your booking which is valid as a travel document once payment has been received. This confirmation can also be used for any bus transfers to the terminal that you have booked with us.
Extras such as meals are credited to your key-card which you will receive at check-in together with any tickets for extras that you may have booked.
2. When and where do I check in?
Sailings from Esbjerg depart at 18:45 and check in at the DFDS Scandic Terminal 17:15 with all passengers to be checked in by 18:15.
Sailings from Harwich depart at 17:45 and check in at Harwich International Port opens at 16:15 with all passengers to be checked in by 17:15.
3. Can I travel with my pet?
Pets (dogs, cats & ferrets) are welcome on our Esbjerg - Harwich route for passengers travelling with their own vehicle.
The dog or cat must remain in your car or caravan for the duration of the crossing. At the discretion of the crew and conditions permitting owners may visit their animals on the car deck at prearranged times. Normally these visiting times are one hour after departure and one hour before arrival.
Transport of all pets is subject to the legal requirements for pet transport between Denmark and the United Kingdom. For transport of pets other than dogs, cats or ferrets please contact our customer service team.
