Esbjerg (DFDS Scandic Terminal, Esbjerg)

DFDS Seaways sail from the DFDS Scandic Terminal, Esbjerg to Harwich.

Esbjerg is on the Western Coast of Denmark, approximately 175 miles from the country's capital, Copenhagen.  From Esbjerg there are regular sea crossings to Harwich in the county of Essex, in the UK.

Getting to the port by car

You can take the E20 motorway all the way from Copenhagen. If you are travelling from Northern Denmark it may be best to use the E45 motorway, which merges into the E20 at Kolding (about 50 miles from Esbjerg).

On approach, stay on the E20 through the town from the motorway.

As you approach the terminal the road name changes to Toldbodvej; take an immediate left into Dokvej, to the terminal.

Getting to and from the port by bus

Local bus no. 5 departs from Dokvej (just outside the terminal) to the central railway station at `8, `28 and `48 min. past the hour. From the railway station the bus departs at 13, 33 and 53 minutes past the hour.

Getting there by train

There are good train connections between Copenhagen and other major destinations in Denmark. The capital can be reached in under 4 hours. For information on current train schedules please visit: www.dsb.dk.
