From Copenhagen airport to city center

By metro - To city center and Nørreport Station​

The metro station at the airport is located in the end of terminal 3. Take the escalator or elevator up to the 2nd floor. All metro trains go in the same direction from the airport (M2 line to Vanløse Station) - so you do not have to worry about getting on the wrong train. The metro trains run with 4 - 6 minutes intervals during the day and evening. During the night the metro train runs every 15 - 20 minutes. It will take you 13 minutes to get to Nørreport Station (a major hub in the city center) from the airport.
Metro and regional train tickets can be bought from the ticket machines, and from the train ticket sales counters in terminal 3. Please note that the machines only accept coins and credit cards, not notes. You will need a ticket for 3 zones from the airport to the city center. Minimum number of zones is 2.

From Nørreport you can take the DFDS transfer bus

From Copenhagen Airport to city center

By train

The train platforms with trains bound for Copenhagen are located in the Terminal 3 building. Take the elevator or escalator down to floor -1 and train platform 2. (Arriving at another terminal? You can take a free shuttle bus from terminal 1 to terminal 3, which will take about 5 minutes)
Trains bound for Copenhagen run every 10 minutes during the day, and the trip to the city center takes 13 minutes. During the night the trains run 1-3 times an hour. Please check the monitors for departure times.

Train tickets can be bought from the ticket machines, and the DSB ticket sales counters, located in terminal 3.
Please note that the machines only accept coins and credit cards, not notes. Train tickets can be used on the Metro and buses within the valid time period (60 - 90 min. from purchase - check your ticket)

By taxi

Upon arrival at Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup: there are taxis directly outside the arrival hall. It takes about 20 min to get to central Copenhagen and the terminal by taxi. You can also order your taxi by telephone: (+45) 35 35 35 35

 

From Copenhagen city center to terminal ​

By DFDS transfer bus

The DFDS transfer bus departs from the city center near Nørreport Station.

You can purchase your transfer bus ticket in four ways:

By pre-purchasing your ticket in the online booking flow when booking your cruise.

Please note: It is not possible to buy a ticket on the bus itself.

From DFDS terminal to city center

By DFDS transfer bus 

It's easy and convenient to take the DFDS transfer bus to Copenhagen city center (Nørreport Station) from the terminal. The transfer bus stop is located outside the terminal building, approximately 50 meters to the right after exiting the terminal.
Travel time 10 min. Please show your boarding card, booking confirmation email, or printed booking confirmation when boarding the bus.

Other options

By transfer bus to Tivoli /Axeltorv (City center)

Purchase a transfer bus ticket from the terminal to the city center (Tivoli entrance/Axeltorv) in advance. The option is available in the booking process when you order your cruise online.
The buses are marked ‘DFDS Tivoli/Axeltorv’ and you find them about 50 m to the right when you exit the terminal.
One way only. Departure time from terminal 10.15  
Please note: Tickets can not be purchased on the bus, only online or by contacting customer service.
Price: EUR 6/person.
Your DFDS booking confirmation works as a valid ticket on the bus. Tickets are non-refundable.
Please note: Above bus service is available only one-way, from the terminal to the city center.

By taxi

There are two taxi lanes in front of the DFDS Copenhagen terminal building.
You can always order a taxi by calling (+45) 35 35 35 35. Cost approx. 90 DKK to city center (Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn)

From terminal to city center

By bus

Bus 60 is the most convenient option. The bus departs from the terminal for the city center every 15 minutes. 
A bus leaves around 15 minutes after you arrive in Oslo at 09.45, and again roughly 30 minutes after you arrive, if you need more time.

By taxi

From city center to terminal

By bus

Take bus 60 from Oslo city centre to the terminal building. Bus 60 stops outside “Jernbanetorvets Apotek” – the Central Station's pharmacy, opposite the entrance of the shopping mall “Byporten.” 
Bus 60 departs every 15 minutes, with about 5 minutes travel time to the terminal.

By foot

If you choose to walk to the terminal from the city center and the main street, Karl Johan Gate. 
Walk towards “Havnelageret,” a large pink building. Cross over the E18 after approximately 150 metres, by using one of the crossing walkway bridges. From the bridge you will to see the terminal. Signs marked with “Gangvei til fergene”/“Walkway towards the ships.”

If you are situated in the area of Akerbrygge, follow the seaside road that leads around the large fortress. 
Both walks take around 15 - 20 minutes.​


​Parking personal vehicles

​​​There are two options for parking personal vehicles near the Oslo Terminal.

Parking at DFDS Terminal Oslo

There is paid public parking available at the Oslo Terminal.

Parking spaces cost 220 NOK for every 28 hours, or part thereof, and the payment kiosk is located at the main entrance of the DFDS Terminal. 

Cars with trailers, mobile homes or caravans, and multiple vehicles must be paid for per occupied space. Please put tickets inside the front windshield of the foremost vehicle.

Please note: the payment kiosks do not accept cash, debit cards with Axept, or credit cards with Maestro. Payment must be made with one of the following cards: VISA, Master Card, Eurocard, AMEX, Diners Card, Statoil, or​ Shell Card. 

All paid vehicle parking and associated service kiosks are operated by Q-Parks. As such, DFDS bears no responsibility for availability or prices.

Bankplassen Parking Garage

You may also park your vehicle at the Bankplassen parking garage for 220 NOK per 28 hours, or part thereof.

When utilizing the Bankplassen parking garage, please ensure to stamp your parking ticket at the parking validation machine located in the DFDS Vippetangen Terminal (our freight terminal located inbetween the passenger terminal and the parking garage) in order to receive a discount on the parking fee.
