Copenhagen has attractions and sights to satisfy every interest, and many of them are both free of charge and within walking distance. The top three most famous tourist attractions in Copenhagen are the, more than a century and a half old, amusement park Tivoli Gardens, the statue of the Little Mermaid, and the free township of Christiania.

Other attractions also include Danish Design, historic landmarks and breathtaking architecture to world famous museums, castles, and palaces, to beautiful parks, a zoo, an aquarium, and amusement parks. Be sure to visit Amalienborg Palace (home to the royal family), the canal restaurants along Nyhavn harbour area, and Strøget, Copenhagen’s number one shopping street and one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets.

The beautiful capital of Norway, Oslo, is rapidly becoming a capital of culture and contemporary architecture. Modern landmarks by world-renowned architects are creating a brand new skyline, but there is much more to Oslo than just modern architecture.

Oslo is a thriving metropolitan area, although the outskirts of Oslo remain largely forested, laced with hiking trails and cross-country ski routes, where moose and wolves can be seen. An icon of contemporary Scandinavian architecture, the Oslo Opera House, is also spearheading Oslo’s campaign to become an internationally recognized cultural city. In Oslo, you will also find world-class restaurants, museums, and art galleries, including the most complete collection of Viking ships, tools, and artifacts in Scandinavia.
